The NIGH****CHMAN - Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve
I will be off and on the baord tonight. Please feel free to stop in and make comments. Tomorrow will be a short one, as I will post before going to work for four hours. Don't know if I will get a chance to drop by during the night, as I will be doing my work in a half shift instead of a whole shift. Then going home to bed right away so I can get up 5 hours later and hit the road.
Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.
If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested). Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
I have so much to be thankful for! My new life with WLS is most important to me! I think back to 16 months ago and wonder where I would be now without this lifesaving surgery! I am so thankful for the new outlook it has given me! I have experienced so many changes in just the last 11 months, it's a little overwhelming.
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderous Thanksgiving! I plan to!!!
Hugs, Mari

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

Been awhile since I posted, just lots of "stuff" going on. Went back on my "happy pills" a couple of weeks ago, so trying to even myself out.... I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving, and wish you and Mary safe travels for your get away.
Continued prayers for the spoken and unspoken requests. Special prayers for Gina's Richard, Dana, Danni and Tim, and those that I have missed. May we all be blessed this Holiday season, with continued peace, love and fellowship. May His grace, peace and blessings surround us all.
Blessings,
Avis
Well, the house is already smelling good here! I baked the pumpkin pie (that's the ONLY pie my girls pretty much will eat) tonight and now Paul's dutch apple one is in the oven. He hates pumpkin anything so I got him the apple pie, which I'll bake, then after he gets a piece out tomorrow, I'll freeze half for him for Christmas. Sarah won't eat the crust, only the pumpkin center which is fine.
Schnitzel went to the groomer today. OMG, that place was a mad house when we got there to pick him up at 12:30. I had thankfully made the appt. a long time ago. I will probably go ahead and make him an appt. to get groomed right before my surgery in January so that way mom and dad don't have to worry about getting him there. He looks like he lost five pounds of fur after he came home. He is such a fluffy cotton ball before he gets groomed!
I hope everyone has a wonderful, but SAFE Thanksgiving. Remember our rules and chew, chew, CHEW - don't want anyone taking too big of a bite of turkey and then having it get stuck. That is THE WORST feeling in the world! If anyone is going to a huge family gathering, just do what YOU have to do and do NOT let others influence you otherwise. If you know you shouldn't eat Aunt Sally's famous sweet potatoes, then don't. If someone gives you crap about it - they don't have YOUR best interest in mind! Don't forget to take your vitamins over this long holiday weekend, too! George...make sure you and Mary have all yours to take along!
Safe travels for those going somewhere! We want you all back safe and sound so be careful.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Paul won't eat anything "sugar free"/diet/low-no fat so I just forget making anything like that for me. I will take a few bites of the pumpkin pie though! I don't eat much, but before WLS, I would have easily been able to eat one piece right after dinner and maybe another for a "snack" later that night!
So thankful to my docs for giving me my life back!!!
